One
or both of the applicants must be a Decatur County resident. *
Both
applicants must be over the age of 18 years. **
For
the female applicant, a form will need to be picked up from the Clerk's office
and signed by a doctor stating that she has had the Rubella test or has been
sterilized. This must be done before a license can be issued.
Both
applicants must bring in a driver's license and/or birth certificate.
If
either applicant has been divorced, then they will need to know the divorced
date. If they have divorce papers then they will need to bring them when they
apply.
Both
applicants will need to know where their parents were born and mother's maiden
(birth) names.
The
cost for the license is $20.00 ($18 license & $2 for certified copy of
license to send to social security administration). ***
* If
both applicants are from another state, then they must get their license from
the county that they are getting married in.

If either applicant is under the age of 18 years, please contact the Clerk's

*** The
cost for out-of-state applicants is $62.00 ($60 license & $2 for certified
copy of license to send to social security administration).
