Pirates go 1-2 in tourney

The Pirates volleyball team traveled to the Brown County Invitational on Saturday an went 1-2 on the day.
The Pirates fell to Liberty Christian 20-25, 25-19, 25-12.
In the second match, Greensburg was defeated by Owen Valley 25-16, 25-6.
In the final match, Greensburg knocked off Indian Creek in two games 25-16, 26-24.
"We started off really well and looked like we could win the entire tournament, but passing again hurt us. Serve receive hurt us all day and we couldn''t get an attack going," said Pirate Coach Randy Obermeyer.
On the day, Ciara Hershauer led the attack with 18 kills. April Hershauer was next for the Pirates with 12 kills.
Erica Oakley dished out 19 assists on the day and Holly Kohrman added 18 assists.
From the service line, Ciara Hershauer and Kelly Nicholson both served five aces.
Kohrman and Ashley Leitgabel both had 17 digs to lead the way for the Pirates.
Greensburg travels to Hauser at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
