QUESTIONWhat is there to do in Decatur County?

ANSWER: Plenty!

Whether you are looking forward to a night at the theatre, or a fun day at one of the parks, Decatur County has plenty to offer.

If you are looking for some way to tone up those muscles, then head on over to the YMCA, or to the Allen Memorial Pool, or perhaps tennis, basketball, baseball, softball or volleyball are more to your liking. There are plenty of things to do.

Maybe you had rather do something less strenuous. Maybe a performance sponsored by the Arts and Cultural Council or the Tree County Players is more to your liking. How about the programs at the library, or perhaps you had rather sit down with a good book from the library  Or maybe a quite afternoon at one of Decatur County’s public fishing sites. Decatur County is the place to do it!

Jogging, walking, hunting, bowling, roller skating, golf driving range and miniature golf can all be enjoyed in Decatur County. With three golf courses scattered throughout the county surely you will be able to improve that score.

Need something truly unusual? Then go to the airport and try your hand at skydiving. Yes, I said skydiving!

Then there are the seasonal events such as the Decatur County 4-H Fair or the Power of the Past or any of the many festivals that occur throughout Decatur County.

And don’t forget all that the schools have to offer. With academic, musical and sporting competitions to fill your days and evenings, you still need to save time for plays, musicals and PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) meetings. The schools in Decatur County have a proud heritage of bringing you exciting competitions and quality performances.

QUESTION:  I can do all of that in Decatur County?

ANSWER: YES!!  Surprised?
