The Pirateers are students who dance. They dance at home football games. They dance at home basketball games, both boy's basketball games and girl's basketball games. The Pirateers also march with the Greensburg High School Marching Band in various parades in the summer and fall.
Similar to the sports teams at Greensburg High School, the students interested in being Pirateers must "try-out" to be accepted on the squad. Additionally, the Pirateer members are required to attend summer camp and they are also required to attend hours and hours of practice. On most mornings, practices start as early as 6:00 a.m.
