Located 7 miles east of Greensburg on Indiana 46 travelers discover a community motivated with the same spirit of the past when horses were known to be raced from the middle of town with the sounds of a whip being cracked in the air as the rides trotted on their course.

The memory has developed into a treasure of "Crack-Away-Days" festival held on the third Saturday of September.  It features arts and crafts, antiques, a fun parade and entertainment that draws many visitors into the town.

New Point is the home of Sharon Brown Trucking Company and is adjacent to I-74 where the New Point Truck Stop boasts of a 45 ft. salad bar ... a treasure worth stopping for when visiting the area.
